Frequently asked questions
How long does testing take
Adult ADHD test includes the pre-session questionnaires and assessments, the clinical interview, the full ADHD assessments (done remotely at home), and a follow-up results session.
The pre-session paperwork takes about 30 minutes.
The clinical interview takes about 50 minutes.
The two ADHD assessments take about 15 minutes each (at home).
The follow-up results session takes about 20 minutes.
Can I use my insurance?
No. ADHD Testing is self-pay only.
I was recommended to see Jennifer Erickson, is she available?
Jennifer has spent the last 5 years working with physicians, gynecologists, and psych nurse practitioners around the State of Virginia and has developed a large referral pool. While that is good for her, that also means that she fills up quickly.
To improve services, we have asked Jennifer to have a smaller case load and instead, train all of the staff at MHA so that more people are available to get high level adult ADHD testing.
All of the clinical staff are being trained by Jennifer, and she reviews each report with them to ensure high quality results.
Can I get therapy after ADHD Testing?
Yes, definitely! It can be very helpful to have someone assist with both understanding medication usage (although we do not prescribe), but also how to holistically manage and understand ADHD.
All staff at MHA are getting certified in ADHD counseling and Jennifer is working weekly on training everyone to make sure they offer the best ADHD counseling services.
If you work with any of our Pre-Licensed Residents, they are $50 per session, self-pay.
Do you do testing for children?
No, not at this time.
